Last Christmas, my cousin and her husband were looking for unique holiday cookie gifts.  She knew that I do most of my shopping online, so she asked if I could point them in the right direction.  I sent her directly to one of my favorite websites - Cookie Gift Baskets.  She found a cookie tower that was in their price range, and with some help from the friendly customer service rep they were able to create a logo that said “Happy Holidays from The Whites”.  My cousin was especially pleased that a live person answered the phone immediately when she called this company, rather than having to leave a voice mail message or being forced to maneuver through a number of menu options.

The service rep explained that a company logo was not necessary for this tower, and even provided suggestions on how my cousin could create a festive and functional “family logo” for the cookie.  My cousin ordered these towers to be shipped to her house, then she hand-delivered them to their friends and colleagues - she even kept one for taste testing.  She has already told me they will be ordering the same tower again this year because they were such a big hit last year!  She thought the $66 price was very reasonable considering all that was included, and shipping was relatively inexpensive since they ordered well enough in advance to have the towers shipped via UPS Ground.

When my sister and her husband moved into their first home last summer, I wanted to give them a lasting gift that would be useful and meaningful.  I found the perfect thing for them - this personalized ceramic letter holder filled with gourmet cookies.

The house-shaped letter holder is perfect for depositing their daily mail, especially since they work opposite shifts and don’t get much time to communicate with each other during the week.  My sister said she also leaves notes to her husband about appointments, dinner plans, or phone messages for him.  They both loved the cookies, I liked that I was able to choose what flavors to send - I chose 3 of her favorites (Oatmeal Raisin) and 3 of his favorites (Macadamia Nut).  The personalized holder and 6 gourmet cookies were only $54, and since I have ordered from Gourmet Cookie Bouquets before, I knew they would arrive exactly as shown online and would taste just as good (or better) than if I would have baked them myself!

Basketball Candy Bouquet

Author: admin

With the start of the new NBA season last week, I thought of my cousin Adam who doesn’t miss a single Lakers game.  He can’t afford season tickets, but makes it to at least 10 games a year, and the rest he watches on TV.  When the game is on he tunes everything else out - the phone, the doorbell, his girlfriend, I doubt if he would even move if his house was on fire!

Adam and I will often send each other gifts during the year, just little “thinking of you” trinkets because we were very close as kids and now our busy lives don’t give us much time to spend together.  I had not sent him anything since his birthday this spring, so I went searching for an item to commemmorate his favorite time of year - basketball season!  I found this cute basketball candy bouquet for $43 and $9.95 shipping.

For a frighteningly delicious Halloween treat, I highly recommend these jumbo buttercreme cookies offered by Gourmet Cookie Bouquets.  The monsters are all hand-decorated and taste just as good as they look!

This bouquet would make a great centerpiece at an office party, a home Halloween gathering, or as a gift to faraway trick-or-treaters!  With sizes ranging from 3 to 12 cookies (priced from $29 to $82), make sure you send enough for each recipient to enjoy.  The buttercreme flavor is very similar to a sugar cookie, but with more of a butter taste.  The bright and colorful icing is not only a beautiful decoration, but tastes great too!

Confucius say, “Order this Giant Fortune Cookie and make your own good luck!”  Covered with luscious Belgian White Chocolate, white and yellow sprinkles and edible sunflower images, this jumbo cookie measures 7″ by 4″ by 6″ and comes with a custom fortune cookie message.  I sent this to my brother and his new wife, and personalized the message inside with a corny wedding luck saying.  My sister-in-law raved about this to all her friends, and she sent one to her mom in Oregon just for fun!  Gourmet Cookie Bouquets came through for me once again when I was searching for a unique edible gift.  The price was very reasonable at $28, but I had to pay extra for overnight shipping in the summer so the chocolate wouldn’t melt in transit.  I received such a positive response from my brother and his wife that even the extra shipping cost was worth it!

I know when I returned from the hospital with my 2nd son, it was nice to have mom around to cook and clean for me while our family was adjusting to a newborn.  Mom made us fresh baked cookies while she was here, and it was a welcome treat for this sleep-deprived new mother!  If you can’t be there to bake fresh cookies for the new baby’s family, send this thoughtful gift instead.  Baby Gifts & Gift Baskets fills a personalized tote with either 6 ($40) or 12 ($50) fresh baked cookies in your choice of flavors.  They will add the new baby’s name, birth date, and birth weight to the package to turn this gift into a special keepsake!
